Bottom Numbering for Your Mugs
And All the Options That Go with It
Numbering is a great way to emphasize your mugs are limited edition, plus it's an easy way to promote your brand's exclusivity. Sunset Hill Stoneware offers a few options for numbering the bottom of your mugs. Each style is slightly different.

OPTION A: STANDARD SUCCESSIVE
Standard successive numbering shows that your mugs were part of a limited edition. For example, if you order 72 mugs from us, we will number them as 1/72, 2/72, 3/72 and so on.

OPTION B: STANDARD SINGLE
We offer plain numbering if you don't want to show how many mugs there are in a particular run. Like Option A, this numbering method uses special ink to mark the bottom of your mugs.

OPTION C: ETCHING
Etching the bottom of your mugs is a more subtle option for numbering. We etch numbers into the bottom of your mugs early in the mug-making process. After we put them in the kilns, they're permanently set in stone.
