About Vince Lombardi
Vince Lombardi was one of the greatest football coaches in history. He became the head coach and general manager of the Green Bay Packers in 1959 and was named Coach of the Year in his rookie head coaching season. By expecting absolute dedication and effort from his players, Vince led the Green Bay Packers to five league championships in 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966 and 1967, as well as winning the first two Super Bowls in 1966 and 1967. The NFL's Super Bowl Trophy is named in his honor and Lombardi was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971.
